New data sheet available for VDM Alloy 31 Plus®

VDM Alloy 31 Plus® is a Nickel-Iron-Chromium-Molybdenum alloy with a controlled addition of nitrogen and an optimized nickel-content. The alloy is characterized by a high corrosion resistance and an ease of working and processing at the same time. Due to its characteristics the alloy is recommendable for the use in the Chemical Process Industry.

VDM Metals Group invests in strip production

VDM Metals is planning to expand its strip production at the Werdohl site. To this end, the company is investing around EUR 21 million in a new bright annealing line. In addition to the new unit, extensive construction measures such as a new hall building and furnace tower are required to realize the project.

New data sheet for VDM® Alloy 2120 MoN released

VDM® Alloy 2120 MoN is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with particularly low carbon content and an addition of nitrogen, developed by VDM Metals. The material distinguishes itself through an outstanding corrosion resistance under reducing as well as under oxidizing conditions.

VDM Metals presents new material Alloy 788 A for valves

With VDM Alloy 788 A®, VDM Metals presented a new material for highly-loaded outlet valves. In particular, the nickel-iron alloy is suited for use in commercial vehicles and passenger cars with diesel engines, and it has the material number 2.4959. Owing to its novel composition, it is characterized by improved wear properties, with high application temperatures and combustion pressures.
