VDM Metals highlights opportunities and limits of Additive Manufacturing

This year, VDM Metals is participating for the first time in the Additive Manufacturing Forum organized by the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK) Japan and the German Centre for Research and Innovation Tokyo (DWIH Tokyo) from 13 to 17 September 2021.

2 .  September  2021

Various aspects of Additive Manufacturing will be covered as part of the Additive Manufacturing Forum's online seminar series. In this context, VDM Metals will highlight the opportunities and limitations of using corrosion- and heat-resistant nickel alloys and high-alloy special stainless steels in Additive Manufacturing processes. The presentation by VDM Metals will take place on 16 September, starting at 2:45 pm (CET). Attendance is free of charge after prior registration.

Additive Manufacturing contributes to the manufacturing value by successfully combining existing processes and supply chains, rather than replacing traditional manufacturing processes. German-Japanese AM CAMP Week 2021 will present advanced solutions for a variety of processes, measurement and security challenges, as well as 3D printing. Besides VDM Metals, many other market leaders in their respective industries like Thyssenkrupp-Wilhelmsen Ships Service, FIT Additive Manufacturing Group, Trumpf, Wibu-Systems, EOS, DMG Mori and Siemens will also take part, plus leading research and accreditation institutions like Fraunhofer an TÜV Süd.
