VDM Metals Group remains independent
On Friday, 21 December 2018, Aperam S.A., Luxembourg, announced that it will not pursue the in-depth investigation (Phase II) initiated by the European Commission with respect to the acquisition of the VDM Metals Group.

Aperam notified the transaction to the European Commission on 23 October 2018; the Commission was committed to take a final decision until 16 April 2019.
Our shareholder Lindsay Goldberg, in Germany represented by Lindsay Goldberg Vogel GmbH, Düsseldorf, will now further on accompany the VDM Metals Group.
The termination of the acquisition process means that VDM Metals will continue to operate in the market as an independent specialist supplier. In doing so, VDM is building on its excellent business relationships with its customers, suppliers and partners. VDM Metals remains the first port of call for high-quality Nickel alloys and special stainless steels as well as premium services.
