5,500 Euros for the Balthasar Children's and Youth Hospice
Rebecca Kranz, Head of Public Relations at the Balthasar Children's and Youth Hospice in Olpe, Germany, received a donation of 5,500 euros at VDM Metals' headquarters in Werdohl, Germany, on 29 August. A new chapter has thus been added to VDM Metals' support for the Balthasar Children's and Youth Hospice.

For the first time since the pandemic, the BSV VDM (company sports club) had invited its members to the traditional charity run around the Altena plant. 47 participants responded to the call and completed a total of 147 laps on 23 June 2023. This corresponds to a total distance of around 400 kilometers. The management of the world market leader for nickel alloys and high-alloy special stainless steels increased the amount raised to 5,000 euros. During the run, a further 500 euros was collected by members of BSV VDM and the workforce. The donation was handed over jointly in Werdohl by Dr. Niclas Müller, Chief Executive Officer, and Silvia Witt, organizer of the BSV VDM charity run.
