VDM Metals becomes a corporate member of Transparency International Deutschland

The leading anti-corruption organization Transparency International Deutschland e.V. (Transparency Germany) has accepted VDM Metals, world market leader for nickel alloys and special stainless steels, and ComSec Ermittlungsdienste G.Frau KG as a new corporate members. The organization's board of directors unanimously approved the companies' admissions already on Friday, 11 August 2023.

5,500 Euros for the Balthasar Children's and Youth Hospice

Rebecca Kranz, Head of Public Relations at the Balthasar Children's and Youth Hospice in Olpe, Germany, received a donation of 5,500 euros at VDM Metals' headquarters in Werdohl, Germany, on 29 August. A new chapter has thus been added to VDM Metals' support for the Balthasar Children's and Youth Hospice.

Werdohl, Germany. Holger Arnold, previously Head of Production at the Unna site of VDM Metals, will become the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the VDM Metals Group, replacing Rolf Schencking.

In close coordination with the local authorities, VDM Metals is providing housing at short notice in Werdohl, Altena and Neuenrade for 57 refugees from Ukraine. In this way, the company wants to help people and contribute to mitigate the consequences of the war.

Fundraising campaign for the benefit of the Balthasar Children's and Youth Hospice

1,515 Euros were collected as part of a fundraising campaign at the VDM Metals site in Werdohl to benefit the Balthasar Children's and Youth Hospice in Olpe. The Board of Management had agreed in advance to double the amount donated by employees and friends of VDM.

The VDM Metals Group, part of the Acerinox Group and world market leader for nickel alloys and high-alloyed special stainless steels, has won this year's St. Gallen Leadership Award. The award is presented annually by the Institute for Leadership and Human Resource Management (I.FPM) at the University of St. Gallen and the German Association for Human Resource Management (DGFP) to honor successful leadership initiatives.
