VDM Metals has developed a new material for the application in petrochemical industry under metal dusting conditions at high pressure. VDM® Alloy 699 XA (2.4842) is a nickel-chromium-aluminium alloy that is characterized by excellent metal dusting and creep resistance as well as a good workability.
With VDM® Alloy C-264, VDM Metals has launched a new nickel-based alloy with excellent strength and creep properties for use in a temperature range up to 900 °C. Applications for the new material, available as strip, include ultra-efficient turbochargers.
