VDM Metals will put a new powder atomization plant into operation at the Unna site in June.
VDM Alloy 31 Plus® is a Nickel-Iron-Chromium-Molybdenum alloy with a controlled addition of nitrogen and an optimized nickel-content. The alloy is characterized by a high corrosion resistance and an ease of working and processing at the same time. Due to its characteristics the alloy is recommendable for the use in the Chemical Process Industry.
VDM Metals is planning to expand its strip production at the Werdohl site. To this end, the company is investing around EUR 21 million in a new bright annealing line. In addition to the new unit, extensive construction measures such as a new hall building and furnace tower are required to realize the project.
Thanks very much to all attendees and participants who made the show such a big success for VDM Metals Group. We'll see you again next year at the Corrosion 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona.
